My experience renting this house was financially and mentally stressful. I estimate losing around $2,800 due to lease restrictions, forced rent overlap after move-out, and pending security deposit deductions. Key concerns included pressure to renew early, expensive short-term lease extension offers, and an eviction warning when I planned to continue month-to-month. The landlord would not accept a mid-month 30-day notice, ended up paying 20 extra days. There were recurring maintenance problems: weak water pressure, repeated washer/dryer electrical failures, unsafe extension-cord usage for months, and frequent water heater failures causing cold showers. Tenants were often expected to coordinate repairs themselves. Move-out concerns included possible repainting charges for pre-existing wall damage and additional inspection requirements introduced later in the tenancy.
