Classic old boston apartment. Had lots of charm but some flaws like windows not staying open, cracks between windows and windowsill, windows rattling in their panes, etc. Landlord wouldve dealt with this if we asked but we just didn't mind it enough to ask. Saw like 2 roaches in 5 years. Not too bad. Had ants when we first moved in but landlord dealt with it immediately and never saw them again. Silverfish and house centipedes infested the bathroom which was not great. Could only have AC in 2 rooms so it got really hot in the summer. Oil heating price drastically varied year to year. Some years it was cheap, some years it was thousands. Hard to budget for but it was nice having more control over the temp. Trash situation is a bit of a mess-units work out amongst themselves who will take it out. Overall a really great "first apartment" which I loved--but I don't think it is worth what they are charging for it now. Landlord was really sweet, kind, fair and helpful though.
